Bill's Story
After graduation from Burbank I tried City College, but I wasn't ready to keep studying. I joined the AF in 1966 to avoid the draft, went to Germany, Turkey and back to the States in 1969. Married Sandy Collet and then retrained into an Electronics field and did tours in New Mexico, southern Cal, Thailand, and the Pentagon. Selected to attend San Jose State here in California where I received my Bachelors degree in Math (Computer Math) and became a programmer (Compute Systems Officer) in the AF.... Yes I was a lifer (career AF).

Retired from the AF in 1989 and went to work for CalTrans here in Sacramento. Sandy and the kids and I had moved down to Sacramento inn 1987 and we've been here ever since.
Various jobs with CalTrans IT, Data Manager for a bit, FORTRAN programmer for a couple of months, Systems Admin mostly, Storage management. Retired from CalTrans (State of California) in Dec 2013 with 23 years.
Now mostly kicking back and working around the house and being trained by our new puppy, Samson. Sam is a yellow lab and growing like a weed.
Sandy and I have two kids, and two grand sons from our daughter. Son married just this year, 2017, & we now also have two
step-grand-girls. All are almost grown already!
