Bill's Story
Life
Actually didn't graduate from H.High. Left in '57 when folks transferred to Ohio. Dropped out of HS in 58, joined USMC. Overseas for most - Okinawa, Phillipines, Hawaii and that tropical paradise down in South East Asia that we all recall. Spent a total of 34 months, one time or another there(63,64,66, 67,68,69 and 70. For some reason they forgot about me for '65. Decided to get out in 1970. Back in Ohio I married a R.N.(Sandy)in 1971. Completed GED and used GI bill to complete undergraduate and masters at Univ. of Cincinnati. Ended up employed by State of Ohio as a vocational Rehab specialist working with folks disabled on job. en got downsized and transferred to supervise a disability management team in a state Workers Comp office. In 1997 took an early buyout and retired. Ran own business, for awhile, assisting disabled folks obtain Social Security disability benefits. On occasion , I also drove 'expedited freight' with late brother (Gene) a couple of times a year when I needed to get away - or family (wife and two daughters) needed the old grump out of their hair.
Now am, pretty much, retired - although seems I am busier, and work harder, than I did when 'at work'!! Would like to hear from former classmates and friends. Am also listed at other school sites (schoolnews) etc.
