Bill's Story
In 1965 after High school I went to Montana and drove truck in the logging business and was summoned to serve in the Viet Nam conflict (war). I was drafted so I join the Navy reserve and served on board the USS Pickerel, stationed in Hawaii and later in San Francisco. I was discharged in 1971 and in 1973 married Cheryl Beutlich, class of 1966.
We moved to Chicago where I worked with Zenith Radio Corporation teaching technicians to fix television and later went into sales training. We left Chicago in the early 1980 and move back west to Oregon. I worked as a sales manager, in distribution. stores in the Pacific Northwest. I worked in my own business, ZIMS until I retired in 2001, or so, in Everett, Washington.
Currently I am the president of the Home Owners Association where we live as well as the webmaster of our association at Stratton Hill and recently the treasurer, as you might imagine there are not too many volunteers just people that want to tell you how they would have done it.
We are enjoying retirement and Cheryl is traveling with girl friends. She was just in Egypt and is currently in Hawaii for 10 days, other wise she would have us busy doing something. This gives me a chance to say hello and get in touch. We look forward to the reunions and seeing all of you. Best regards to you and your families.
