Billy's Story
I can't believe 20 years have gone by since our senior year at MHS. It seems like just yesterday we were hanging out in Senior Park waiting for our next class to start. Or the next ditching party for some of us. J/K......
Today, I make a living as an Auto Broker in Monterey Park, and a Loan Officer at a Mortgage Company in L.A.. The best part of my job is I get to make my schedule which allows me to spend plenty of time with my family.
Margaret and I live in San Gabriel with our two kids, Jordan & Chelsea. They attend St. Anthony's School which is pretty close to home. Jordan is 14 & Chels is 8. They're great kids who have a special way of testing your patience. I love being a parent. I get a kick out of sharing my childhood with my kids. They think I'm crazy. Our favorite pastime is packing up, loading the Waverunner & taking a trip.
Maggie and I share a love interest in traveling. We've been pretty blessed to have taken a few trips in the past couple of years. Last Summer, we flew to Europe for a month. I flew to New York for a week and eventually met my family in Dublin. We traveled through Ireland, Scotland & the U.K.. My in-laws were born in Belfast & Glasgow. So it was great for myself and the kids to see where their grandparents were from. It was a pretty humbling experience. I was probably the only Chicano in the area that month. lol....Expand for more

New York was awesome. I'm a huge Yankee's fan. Needless to say, I seen a game at both Yankee Stadium in the Bronx & Shea Stadium in Flushing Meadows. Some of the attractions I visited were St. Patrick's Cathedral, Brooklyn Bridge, Ellis Island, Empire State Building, Central Park & much more. Ground Zero and Liberty Island were pretty emotional sites. I stayed at The Edison which is in the middle of Times Square. I met some pretty cool locals & we hung out at an Irish Pub called the Mean Fidler & ESPN Zone throughout the week. I highly recommend a visit to The Big Apple.
Two years ago, we visited the Yucatan Peninsula (Southern Mexico). I had been to Cancun before, so it was my 2nd time there. My first trip there was in 96. I always wanted to take a trip alone to some exotic area. Depending on strangers for camaraderie was pretty interesting. Chichen Itza is unbelievable. Pictures of Ruins really don't give them justice. That site will bring you to tears. My 2nd time there we mostly hung out in Playa Del Carmen. It's a beautiful beach area with a European Flavor. We also spent time in Cozumel, a small resort island about 30 miles from shore.
Currently we are working on our Class Reunion. I hope we have a great turnout. Everyone I speak with is excited about getting together. So I'm sure I'll see or hear from you soon.
God Bless, Billy....
