Billy's Story
Life
Hello fellow Braves! 1972 was a long time ago and a lot has happened with Billy Johnson. My wife Susan (formerly Susan Foley from Compton) and I have been happily married for 22 years and have 4 children ranging in ages from 20 down to 5 years old (I don't know when to quit). I am a civil servent for the Federal Government working as a Contract Specialist and Contracting Officer on construction projects for the U.S. Navy. I have been employed by the Navy for 21 years now. We just returned back to Maryland in July 2001 (back at the old family farm in Morganza) after working overseas in Naples, Italy on a special project for the Navy, from July 1998 to July 2002. We really enjoyed it there and traveled all over Europe for the last 3 years. It was sad to have it come to an end but we are also glad to be back home in the States with family and friends. I amd back working with the Navy...Expand for more
at the Washington Navy Yard. My oldest daughter just got married in February, is in college at Towson University, entering her junior year. She did her freshman year in Rome, which is where she met her husband who is in the Navy and stationed there with the Embassy. She is back there with him for the summer and they both will be coming back in August where he will be stationed at Towson and she will resume school in the fall. Susan is still raising kids and wants to re-start her flower/crafts business she had before we left four years ago. She just hasn't found the time yet. We are both very active in our church (St. Joseph's, Morganza) and enjoy serving the Lord. We look forward to reurning to Italy next summer for a vacation and to visit some of our new friends we made while over there. That's what's happening in our lives for now and as they used to say in Southern Italy, Ciao Yall!
