Billy's Story
I really really hate this site. They have so junked up the pages that I question continuing my premium membership.
Back when I lived in Irving, my nickname was Happy. I'm sure many of the friends I knew at the Fun Rallye (Pinball and Pool Hang-out) probably did not know my real name. I started at Mac in the 8th grade. I loved playing trombone in the school's marching band.
I quit school in my Junior year and have always regretted it. I would have graduated MacArthur in 1969. So maybe, those of you who attended Mac in 1967, 68, 69 might feel inclined to adopt me into your class. I would apprecate it.
After many years of unsuccessfully trying to pursue a song writing career, I joined the entertainment community as a technician, working at a prominent Stage Lighting and Sound company.
I did finally get my GED in 1982 and a two-year associate degree from junior college in 1984.
During the mid-Eighties, I had my fill of working shows, concerts ...Expand for more
and road tours with well known and not so well known acts. In the late Eighties, I went back to school and changed careers.
Today, with a degree and several Microsoft Certifications, I own and operate a small but comfortable computer-network service company in East Texas. I am very technical and pride myself in being up to date on just about anything that runs on electricity.
My hobbies include anything having to do with computers, electronic music, boating, fishing, diamond hunting in Arkansas, and camping.
If you are interested in saying hello, and if you have forgiven me for being somewhat of a jerk in my younger years, I would love to hear from you.
Did I say "somewhat of a jerk"? Maybe that should be JERK in capital letters.
I did finally out-grow that phase.
Today, My beautiful wife of 26 years, Julie and I measure our success in our four kids (all with 4 year degrees).
I hope you are happy with the way your life turned out, as well.
