Barbara's Story
Life
I lived in Syracuse until 1991, then relocated to Atlanta. I've worked as a Legal Assistant most of my working life, and am now a Contract Analyst working in the legal division of a major corporation headquartered in Atlanta. I'm learning both French and Spanish and hope to become proficient in both languages. I am also editing a book, as well as doing some writing on the side. ld never be able to find . . . I visit Syracuse fairly frequently to keep in touch with family & friends. Even through all that life can throw at us, I've managed to keep my sense of humor, haven't gotten too cynical in my "old age", and I love to laugh and just enjoy life (although getting older can be challenging - aging is not for wimps . . . and I could do without the mid-life crisis thing . . . :>))
College
The best days I ever spent in college were in my late 40s. I went back to school (at night) in 2003 to finish my degree and got much more out of it as a 40-something adult than as an 18-year old . . . I worked hard and graduated Magna Cum Laude and was nominated by the faculty for membership to a national academic honors society [who'd have "thunk it back then, huh?? :>)), and am now considering grad school. I loved being in school as an adult.
