Life
Hi everyone. I can't believe it's been 40 years that we were all at Marine City High!! I was married for 28 years and had 2 sons, Jeff and Scott who still live in the Algonac area. I also have 4 Granddaughters and 2 Grandsons. I lived in Texas for two years in 67 and 68, then in Marine City until August 30 1986 when we moved to Charlotte NC. I have been here for over 20 years except for 6 months on James Island at Charleston SC in 2004, and 4 months in Knoxville Tennesee a few years back where I was on temporary assignment for the company I worked for. I worked for Kroger in Michigan for 14 years and 8 1/2 years as Operations-Personnel manager here in NC. Also managed a security team for the same company, then business manager in the construction field for 8 years before I started my latest venture as a canine behaviorist, which I just love. my "retirement" job but ended up busier then I have ever been. This fall I plan to RE- retire hopefully, and slow down some. Charlotte is a great place to live with the great weather, lots to do and the mountains and ocean close by for weekend trips. I venture back North a couple of times a year and always enjoy seeing everyone there, but I think this has become home. Hope you all are doing well !
School
Craziest memory was when Carol Giardinia, Sandy Grashaw, Diana Zynda, Linda Bradshaw, Vernia Strong and I went to lunch in Vernia's car and I fell out of the door when she turned the corner. Linda held on to my coatsleeve so I didn't go UNDER the car, all the while we were all laughing hysterically. Fun part was trying to convince the principal to give us a late excuse to get back in class. He didn't believe us until he saw my scaped up knees, and gave us the pass.
