Blaine's Story
Life
Blaine has escaped from Los Angeles with his writer/director wife, and is presently residing on a mountaintop near Park City, Utah.
Since graduating Boston University, Blaine has done time as:
- a yacht bum (highlight: two trans-Atlantic passages and record-breaking line honors in the gale-strewn 1985 Fastnet Race);
- part-owner of a homemade ice cream store in South Beach (apparently, fashion models do eat high-butterfat desserts);
- a stand-up comic (was occasionally seen at The Comedy Store on the Sunset Strip, the bar of the Hyatt ...Expand for more
adjacent to The Comedy Store on the Sunset Strip, and hinterland comedy huts adjacent to nothing);
- a writer (including two books on advertising, various screenplays currently in development hell, and 3,567 radio commercialsÂamong them a handful that have won really big, ugly trophies);
- a voiceover performer (possibly heard on a radio or TV near you).
Besides a wealth of real-life experience from which to draw, Blaine has learned such practical skills as how to tell the client ÂNo, how not to be voted off the island, and when to duck.
