Arlene's Story
Straight out of high school I went to work at the phone company. Got married to husband #1 - had two daughters. Six years later divorced - went to work at Sears in the catalog department. Met husband #2, stayed home for 10 years, married for 12 years - had another girl and a boy then divorced. Met husband #3 - 18 years younger than me, together for 22 years divorced - no kids, still friends, still do things together but live in different cities. Works out much better that way. I do wish I had someone close by to go to 49er games with and movies and dinner but it's really not big deal. I do all those things by myself. I enjoy me! LOL! Have 8 grandkids, one great-grandchild and another on the way. I love movies, plays, reading, tv, being with my kids and grandkids. Love being with the family! We have so much fun together!
The wildest thing I ever did in school was on senior sneak day. Two of my friends and I drove to the beach together and one of my friends (won't mention her name) got very, very drunk and was driving her father's brand new pickup truck and ran the side of it along a tree and scratched and dented it. My other friend and I actually carried her over me (I was in the middle) and put her in the passenger seat so she would not get in trouble for being drunk. My other friend got in the driver's seat.

re, I need to have laughter, flexibility, and tolerance to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
I've lived in California my whole life.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Harold Spence, because he made a huge impression on me.
I follow the A's, the 49ers but I don't have any pets. I wish I had a dog.
Oh and Big Brother is my favorite reality show.
There are too many "biggest surprises" that I could name.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the living room and add on a family room and deck. My dream home would be in Santa Clara.
What I've learned from my kids is that they are like dogs, they love you no matter what you do (LOL!)
The teacher I would love to see again is Mr. Parker (my 6th grade teacher). He was so much fun, oh and I had a history teacher that was great but I can't remember his name.
If I won $100 million, I'd give some of it to my favorite charities, then spend the rest on family, friends and strangers.
To be truly happy, I would be working with children, kindergarten, 1st and 2nd graders here in the Bay Area.
My current age is 66. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be almost dead. I was so completely naive.
My career aspiration is to retire!
I share my home with my son and grandson, which I find tiring.
If I had one do-over, I would have gone to college right after high school.
