David's Story
When I fist came to Hollywood High, I was a Junior. I had moved from Dallas, TX. I didn't know anyone, but I made friends in the Performing Arts Magnet whom insisted that I come and join them in that program. I think that it was Romela and Sandra that had dragged me down to Mrs. D's office. I happily built stages, performed in this and that, fell in and out of love for the next two years. After high school, I hung out with Jessie Portillo until she got caught up in heroin, and I went out with Karen Romanova for roughly 5 years. I worked in Post Production for Pacif...Expand for more
ic Title / Mirage. I got involved in the Slam Poetry community and became the Los Angeles Slam Master for the 2001 National Slams (we came in 2nd in the nation that year). I met my wife-to-be on Halloween of 2001. We were married in 2002, and I have been a father since then. We moved from California to Vegas, and last year we moved to Austin, TX. My son is almost six, now.... time flies. I've worked every job from Post Production to Cab Driver, to Web Designer, to Video Game Industry. It's been a long strange trip, and, for the most part, I've enjoyed it profusely.
