Julie's Story
Life
Aloha and Shalom! I'm currently living in Washington State, before that I was in Hawaii where I'd been living for over 29 1/2 years. I'm married and have 5 kids ranging from almost 46 years down to 30. I also have 13 grandkids, and 1 great grand. I keep in touch with my best friend from junior high, Sue Thurk (now Rothchild) and longest-time friends Dena Franklin, Ken Johnson, Valerie Mason, Sandi Latner & Jeff Smith. Luckily, I've also reconnected with many friends on Facebook. If you'd like to email me, I'd love to hear from you. If you visit my profile, please leave your name so I can see who you are!
I've linked my profile to San Diego High School because my dad Fred Bliss went to school there, He graduated in 1954. If you are looking for him please write to me. He passed away in 1998 and I know he wanted to try and find his high school best friend, Jerry Mc Donald.
I've also linked my mom's high school, Hoover High School in La Mesa with my account because my mom Mary Wilcox went there for a while. If you were a friend of my mom's, or if you knew her, please leave me a me...Expand for more
ssage. I'm trying to figure out some history pertaining to her. Sadly, she passed away October 30, 2011. The picture I have posted is the last day we spent with her in August of 2011. She knew she was sick, so we brought my 5 kids and the (then) youngest grandson (on my lap) and also brought Erin's then boyfriend, now husband, Josh.
August of 2013 I learned some news that has changed my life. I learned that Fred Bliss is not my biological father. This doesn't change how I feel about either of my parents, this is how life is, right? Sometimes you get surprises like these. I also believe that both parents knew it, and believe my mom was trying to tell me during our last visit together. But I was oblivious to what she was getting at, so it went no farther.
If you know anything that would help me learn about my paternity, I would love to hear from you, please leave me a message, Through DNA testing I learned that I carry a gene that may affect any siblings I may have (on my biological father's side) that don't know about it. I'm not looking for another family, just their story. Thanks!
