Bo's Story
Attended Pinson Valley Elementary School from 1973-1977, until my family moved to the Anniston, Alabama area.
I later attended Anniston High School from 1980-1984. I graduated from Anniston High School in 1984. I later attended Jacksonville State University and became reacquainted with some of my classmates from my childhood in the Pinson area, as well as my friends from Anniston. I have worked in the Financial/Banking and Insurance field for the past 20 years. I have an 11 year old son and my favorite thing is playing baseball with him and his friends on the weekend. I have become the greatest 40something year old pitcher and centerfielder, at least in the eyes of the kids. I know how to do everything now I did not know how to do then. Just wish I was young enough to do them.
Some of my favorite movies include, " The Shawshank Redemption" , " One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest". the original "Rocky" movie, amongst many other classics. I enjoy classic rock music, country music, as well as any other music that has a good theme and story to tell. My favorite artist is Bruce Springsteen. " There's nothing like...Expand for more

My favorite football team is the Alabama Crimson Tide. Roll Tide Roll! My favorite professional sport is Major League Baseball. I was known (jokingly) as ' Billy Football" in school, but my Dad wanted me to play centerfield for the New York Yankees. ( I know, the D... Yankees) . Man, I wish I'd done that.
My childhood friends in Pinson know me by Robert. My Anniston classmates will know me as Bo Champion.
We must all remember that as classmates, we are all still children in the eyes of God, and as we continue our carnival ride in this life, we need to remember where we came from, where we are, and where we are going. " Life is what happens to you while you're making other plans" (John Lennon) We need to remember our friends and what we have been through, and where we need to go. Keep your eyes on the prize.
