Bob's Story
Hi, Happily retired in Bedford, in a gorgeous apartment. I've worked enough. I really love living in NH with 4 genuine seasons and FAR less nanny state laws. Here in NH, I'm free to support the NRA as a benefactor member, and a 2nd amendment supporter. Live Free or Die! Life is good!
After High School, I studied at Northeastern University and ITT Tech and entered the US Army Security Agency in 1972. While there, I traveled Europe extensively, learned photography, cooking, languages, and served my country working on Teletypes and specialized equipment for secure communications. I was honorably discharged in 1976.
Using my technical skills, I then worked for Singer Sewing Machines on the complex mechanical and new touch panel machines, then another Sewing Machine repair store in Waltha...Expand for more
m after Singer closed the repair depot in Peabody. My next jump was Xerox Corporation in 1988 where I worked faithfully in field service till 2010 when they chose to reward my 22 years loyalty with dismissal. I've EARNED my pension and savings. Getting out early has saved my health.
I played trombone in the High School Band and with more than forty years playing, I'm in the Gordon College Symphonic Band in Wenham and the Timberlane Community Band in Plaistow, NH. I'm the Webmaster for the band's website. Combining my love of photography with an internet outlet has worked out well. Being a band "geek" has remained very fulfilling. I've had a solid 31 years with The Dick Donovan Big Band and also toured parts of Europe as a musician.
My intentions are to Live Forever; So Far, So Good!
