Bob Banks:  

Life I left Ft. Myers in 1979 to attend the University of Florida. At that time I was a certified horseshoer which I did some of that while in college to help pay my expenses. I graduated from UF with a BS degree in Animal and Meat Science. I worked as a beef cattle ranch manager for almost 5 years. I managed as many as 18,000 acres of land and > 1,500 cattle. At some point I realized that getting steam rolled by cows and thrown off horses wasn't exactly a great way to make a living. I tore my ACL & MCL trying out for the Gaineville police department which I guess was God's way of telling me he didn't want me to become a cop. Afetr recouperating I waorked as a meat cutter. I then went to work at UF's college of medicine as a Biological Scientist. I moved up to Sr. Biol Scientist and did human liver research for almost 8 years, making RNA & DNA and all kinds of cool science stuff. I was divorced in 1990, I married my present wife Emily ( she has 3 kids and 5 grand kids) in 1992. We have been happily married for 13 years now.
