Bob's Story
After high school I went to city colledge for my AA then moved up to S.F. Bay area in March of 1980 to continue my education. I met someone while working at the San Francisco Chronicle and Examiner and was married in March of 81. We moved to Stockton ca, in 83 for a couple of years then went down to Phoenix Az, to work for the Arizona Republic and Gazzette. I was there from May of 85 to Nov, of 87. Phoenix was a wonderful place but after 2 1/2 years we had seen everything in the state so we moved back to the Bay area and I went to work for the San Jose Mercury News where I'm currently working. d in 93 to my lovely wife Kathy. She had a four year old son whom I adopted. I currently live in the Richmond Hills and comute to San Jose, where we own a beautiful home with Redwood, cedar and oak trees in the back yard. Our son has moved on with a family of his own and I'm looking forward to retiring soon. We have done a little traveling to Europe, North America and plan on doing much more in the coming years. We recently purchased a retirement home in Grantspass Oregon on the Applegate river and will be moving there in the summer of 2017. I'm looking forward to doing a little fishing and exploring the beautiful state of Oregon.
