Bob's Story

We had the Dead play at our HS, and in keeping with that theme my life turned into one which could best be described by their "What a Long, Strange Trip it's been" Air Force Intelligence Agent, Police Officer, Restaurant Manager, Restaurant Owner, Bartender, Mortgage Company COO, One of two partners in a Real Estate/Investing firm, Senior Accountant, Waiter, Maitre D, Politician, FM Disc Jockey, Nurses Aide, Paramedic, Car Salesman, Bill Collector and now a 911 Business Consultant. Whew....... Grew up from that short, fat and sickly teenager, always picked last in PE. Grew to 6'1', WOW what a change that was, all of the sudden I was hitting my damn head on everything I used to fit under. Made my dreams come true early in Intelligence and as a Police Officer, sometimes reality sucks. Kept my sense of humor though, thank God for that, still love cracking jokes and still enjoy living life, no matter what the circumstances. And I still have mostly female friends. ke Carter (Editor) and Gary Collins (Operations Manager) managed the First Yearbook which got us all C's because we didn't send in what Mr. Yardas had been led to believe. It was fun designing the real yearbook at my house with Mike and giving the fake military looking outlines to our counselor. Too bad the yearbooks didn't get there a day later, we were all getting A's, boy was he pissed. That was one fine yearbook and one great group to work with. My car was a Black Mercury Comet, then my dad gave me the station wagon, life was good!! Losing Pat Monye right after graduation was sad, Larry Rushing passed earlier, that was also sad, knew both since elementary school at West End. Oh Yeah, I remember, I was the one that soldered all the doors over one weekend, I hope Mr. Edwards doesn't find out! Do any of you remember laughing at me after the science test in Mr. Edwards class when I answered that the solar system only had one sun? That taught me all I needed to know about human nature right there, you guys argued for 15 minutes that we had another sun, sheesh. Well, enough for a start.
