Robert's Story
Life
The name is Robert J. Gay, better known to many in the Fayetteville market as radio DJ Bob Gaye. When I left E.E. Smith High back in 1967, I relocated to Newark, New Jersey.
Years later I returned to pursue my career in radio at Central Carolina Community College in Sanford, North Carolina. I was the morning radio personality at WIDU-AM and worked with other greats like Bill Hennessee, Leaping Larry and Don Reid. I also programmed the first urban radio station in the Fayetteville, Dunn markets, D-103FM. I was a dee jay at Foxy 99 before relocating to Atlanta in 1997.
School

h was on my first love Paulette Diane Brown. She was the only one for me in the 9th-11th grade.
Workplace
I live, work and play in Atlanta, Georgia. After twenty-five years in radio broadcasting, I decided to branch off into education. Presently, I'm employed as a technology instructor with the City of Decatur Schools in Decatur, GA. It's a fun job keeping up and teaching the latest technology.
I put my other talent and skills into producing for television. I write, produce and direct a local urban soap opera TV show called "Love Always, Charleston". The show also aired in 2007 in Charleston,SC.
