Bob's Story
Worked for T.G.&Y. for many years....left them, moved to Texas, got an Associates Degree, and one in Land Management....At age 32...even went back to school (full ride) on a Band Scholarship (thanks Mr. Todd)
I married Kay Tassell (class of 66) in June of Sixty-six and we just celebrated our 42nd Anniversary. We have two (2) boys and four (4) Grandsons.
In 1983 we moved back from Texas (to OKC) and I went back to T.G. & Y. got to the corpor...Expand for more
ate buying dept...They sold and closed...I opened up a group of old-fashioned variety stores (Named Tightwads) and kept them until 2003. I now buy and sell Insurance salvage and buy goods from disaster areas etc. I was in Katrina 2005 for 9 months (hate New Orleans) and was in the eye of Rita. Tornadoes are bad but a Hurricane is really nerving.
Kay wants to retire...I don't....so, she still teaches and I still chase "Junk"...What a life..
