Bob's Story

I graduated from Virginia Tech (Health and Physical Education) in 1980. From 1980- 1996 I taught Middle/High School Health and Physical Education in Appomattox County, Virginia. Along those years I coached at Appomattox Co. High School Baseball, Boys Basketball, Football, Girls Basketball, Volleyball, and Softball. From 1998-2008 I was Athletic Director for the school. sistant Facility Manager of War Memorial Gym on campus. I retired in 2010 and they rehired me as a part time position doing the same things. In my free time, I am coaching at Blacksburg High School with Girls Basketball (JV Coach) and Softball (Co-Head Varsity Coach). This year I will be Head Girls Basketball at Auburn High School. I am married (Doris - 25 years) and have a beautiful daughter (Danielle will turn 24) who graduated from Virginia Tech in 2011. Danielle gave birth to my first granddaughter Sydni Lynn in March 2013.
