Bob's Story
Life
Lived in Havelock, North Carolina as a military brat from 1953 to 1960. Many great memories from that time in my life. Attended Sherwood Junior High and graduated high school 1964 from Overton High School, Memphis,TN.
Played lead guitar in Rock-n-Roll Band called the "Tomahawks" through high school and other groups in college. Focused on the fifties / sixties music and played the tri-state area of Memphis. Had to compete with many of the local record artists of the day ... Ace Cannon, Jerry Lee Lewis, Charlie Rich ... who also played many of the same gigs. 62) for the new debutantes of M.S.C.W., the Mississippi all girls school that was eluded to in the movie "Forest Gump".
Went on to college at Memphis State University, obtaining B.S. in Engineering and M.S. Degree in City and Regional Planning. Have led professional career as a licensed architect ... now semi-retired ... or just tired. Did marry the love of my life, Eileen Bauder ... still crazy for her after 41 years now.
Have been working on a book since 2004 about my life as a military brat of the USMC ... hope to get published at some point ... would love to hear from anyone who might have an interest in this work.
