Bob's Story
I went to Northwest Missouri state from 1966-70 and started working at Union Pacific Railroad. At Nortwest Missouri I met my wonderful wife Joanne who I married soon after and we have 2 boys and 6 grandchildren. I took a buy out after almost 19 years and worked for two small private companies until 2003. I retired after working as a Para at Papillion La Vista South High School for 10 years.. I had knee replacement surgery so I could get back to playing golf, I still can break 80, and hope to travel more. My wife and I both enjoy gardening, golf, and our grandkids. We have done 5 gardens which we maintain for the city of Bellevue plus have planted beds, windbreak and an arboretum at Bellevue West High School and the landscaping at Willow Lakes golf course among other ...Expand for more
volunteer projects. I have started to hybridize daylilies and my wife does butterfly and bird counts and leads hikes at Fontenelle Forest.. We have over 100 roses in our own yard which has been on numerous garden walks over the last 10 years.. I'm looking forward to enjoying retirement and hope all,is well with the rest of the graduates from the class of 1966.In June I celebrated one year of being cancer free. I had fought a rare form of cancer for 3 years and had a toatal of 10 surgeries. Now I'm back to my daylly hybridizing and golfing. I should register my first introductions in 2021. My Wife is into Butterfly research and photograpy. She has had pictures published in the National Butterfly magazine and has appeared in two Butterfly videos.
Sincerely,
Bob Langabee
