Bob's Story
Life
After high school I worked at a few jobs and attended the Univ of Cinti for 2 yrs before heading off to the sandy shores of Florida.
I traveled to NYC and Florida quite a bit as I loved the fast lane of NYC and the beaches in FLA. While I still enjoy Naples & Miami, I have found Vegas to be my new favorite place to play.
I settled back in Cincinnati in 1991 and got married in 1995.
Got divorced in 2001.
I'm a proud father of 2 great boys here in Cincy and 1 beautiful daughter in England.
I went back to UC - Raymond Walters to pursue a degree in operations management, however, I recently graduated from Wilmington College as evening college at U.C. wasn't meeting my expectations.
I currently work for a non profit company involved in worker health safety as an administrative coordinator.
I no longer coach my boys little league baseball teams as they prefer soccer, basketball, and football. I will be assistant coach for indoor soccer for my youngest son.
Now that school is over I have picked up the sticks again and been working on some new stuff musically. Putting together some songs and working with a very talented young country singer (yeah, I said country) on a project entitled the Josh Young Band. Check em out on myspace under Josh Young or Josh Young Band.
I've also revived my record label and have recently put out discs by THE MIGHTY SWINE (Mike Skimmerhorn, David Warren Byrge, and Dann Norris) and DERRICK ALLEN. Check em out on ITUNES or Amazon MP3.
This past year we did shows with Adler's Appetite (Steven Adler of Guns n Roses) Dokken, and Skid Row.
In the rare free moments I have, I like to get involved in community programs. I used try to volunteer once a month at Our Daily Bread in Over the Rhine, serving ...Expand for more
food to the hungry, however, recent time constraints have made that difficult.
2yrs ago both my brother and aunt passed away due to cancer and am fully aware that life here on earth is short. Just trying to enjoy it more and make a positive difference.
Interested in global issues and protecting the environment for our kids and grandkids. I am finally settling into a life that I am both happy & comfortable with.
I have great friends and family and couldn't ask for more!
ENJOYED THE "KNIGHT LIFE" BUT WHAT A LONG STRANGE TRIP IT WAS.
School
While at the time I thought I would never get through, looking back I realize that the high school years were some of the best times of my life.
I wish I had gotten more involved in some things and less involved in others, but that's what makes me who I am today.
I attended the Univ of Cinti in Clifton in 1988/1989 but couldn't seem to make it to class. (I guess some things never change) I dropped out to goto Florida and try to 'find' myself.
I started back at UC at Raymond Walters shortly after my divorce to finish up my degree in accounting, but recently switched to Operations Management. Unfortunately, changes at UC made it difficult to finish my B.A. in the evening so I transferred to Wilmington College.
I did well this time around and enjoy it quite a bit. I graduated with honors December 2007 with a bachelors of arts in organizational leadership (business management).
I had thought about going for my masters in marketing but am about done with school right now.
My youngest brother passed away in November from cancer and it made me re evaluate what I want to do with my life.
Trying to reconnect with old friends and enjoy my family.
Amazing what 15yrs difference makes.
