Bob's Story
Life
After leaving the Navy,i drove trucks most of my life. Around 1980 i started installing wall to wall carpet with my brother-in-law, and we landed the contract with Cunard Cruise Lines out of England. Several times a year we would sail on the QE2 and the other 4 ships and go to the carribean and venezuela etc.- It was great because we were booked and treated as passengers...Expand for more
except we went to work during the day and got paid while cruising around.
I finally ended up working for the Board Of Education for the last 15 years, and i ran the grounds crew.We serviced and maintained all the athletic fields, school grounds and set up all the sporting events. we did all the landscaping and snow plowing etc at all schools. I retired Feb 1, 2005.
