Life
Retired as Professor and Head of Department of Communications at Elizabethtown College (near Lancaster, PA) after 24 years. Now live with my husband Steve (an interior designer) in Lewes/Rehoboth Beach, DE.
Family
Two wonderful children. Matthew (now a PhD from Stanford University in Theatre and Humanities) is married with one son. Amanda has two children, Dylan and Lily, living in Dallas, TX. She is a Sonographer after rising to the rank of Sergeant in the Marines. They are my pride and joy and my most priceless accomplishment in my life.
Workplace

r research agenda in International Communications. After 20 years as head of the program and 24 years at the College, I have consulted in international journalism in southern Africa for 20 years in 9 different African countries for the U.S. State Dept. and American Cultural Centers and for country broadcast and print corporations (and have lived in Zambia and Namibia.) after retiring, I remain a consultant to Namibia where I assisted in establishing the School of Communication is establishing its program, facilities, and curriculum.
General
I take up my time working around the house with gardening projects, home improvement, and small carpentry projects for the grandchildren. I try to travel as much as possible to see my kids and the grandchildren but also to travel for pleasure....back home.....to Zambia and Namibia and other parts of the world. Antarctica here I come!
