Bob's Story
School was essentially a write off for me in Dundas, man if I could only turn back the clock.... Owe a pile of apologies to a pile of teachers and classmates for being such an ass at DDHS. Finished High school in Ancaster.
Worked for two years in a hotel in Northern Ontario before moving back to Dundas.
Worked for the Hamilton Golf and Country Club from 1981-2004 in various capacities including more than 15 years as their Clubhouse Manager. I was part of the organizing committees for HGCC's centennial celebrations in 1994, the 1996 duMaurier Canadian Senior Open and the 2003 Bell Canadian Open.
I moved on the become General Manager of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce's Club Operation from 2004-2007 and then started my own consulting business, Northern Lights Hospitality.
I provided management consulting to the Royal Hamilton Yacht Club and cu...Expand for more
stomer service, event planning and web site consulting to the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA.
In March 2008 I accepted an offer to get back into the golf business and took on the role as General Manager & Chief Operating Officer at the Owen Sound Golf & Country Club. Moved back down to Simcoe in 2012 to accept GM position at Norfolk Golf and CC
I am married to Michele and have two teenage daughters, Jessica and Carley. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats
I am an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys golf and fishing & boating. My other interests include cooking and wine, the stock market & finance, politics and training in a discipline of Mixed Martial Arts called Krav Maga.
I am a member of Rotary International and sit on the board of the local chapter of Crimestoppers of Haldimand Norfolk Tilsonburg
We spend as much time as possible at our cottage in Sault Ste. Marie
