Bob's Story

Life rsantos at lucasfilm dot com. :) College I started Chico State in 96, transferred to Sacremento State in '98 and finished in '99. I was married the whole time, so didn't do a lot of extracurricular stuff, unless mowing the lawn counts. Also had my boy Skyler in '97, so life was busy. Enjoyed school, but really enjoyed being done with it. Just barely finished school via a last second summer class and moved to Mill Valley 4 days after getting B.S. in Management Information Systems. Workplace I'm a network engineer at a very fun company that does movie special effects. Network engineer was my favorite area of my degree, and working at a fun company like ILM is the cherry on top. ary I went to boot camp 2 weeks after graduating, Orlando Florida. Had a 2 month school in Meridian Mississippi. First duty station was 2 years at Naval Dental Center, San Francisco (Treasure Island, my son is still amazed that I fought Pirates on Treasure Island). Then 2 years in an F-18 fighter squadron in Lemoore, CA. The squadron was attached to the Abraham Lincoln, so I got to go see Hong Kong, The middle east, Somalia, and Australia/Hawaii. I was dating my wife in the Bay Area the last 2 years, and it was rather easy to leave the Navy for such a girl! I had a lot of fun and some very good friends. I also started to learn how to fly at the air base. A good experience, but like school... glad it's behind me.
