After a short stint in the Army, just after graduating from Auburn, I went into campus organizational work for twelve years; ending that period as campus director for Campus Crusade for Christ at the University of Texas. I worked in 1982 for governor Bill Clements in his oraganiztional efforts for reelection. There was no direct connection between the politics and the Christian group, I was just ready to leave and always had some interest in politics. Organizing and motivating volunteers was my work in both. Then I began an 18 year career as a financial consultant-now my "clients" were volunteers! I got my training in NYC for finance and survived 1982 Manhattan as a southern boy. During all that I married Carol Eidschun from Atlanta and we have raised three boys. One of them runs a website for a family business and you can find pictures of us on our website at TeaEmbassy.com. We sell specialty tea from all over the world and tea related items. In the second quarter of 2000, I was offered a position to come back into non-profit work. I worked for Chuck Colson and Prison Fellowship as a major donor representative in the Southwest for about three and a half years. We were involved in some historically significant changes in the prison and justice systems which is our goal- to help people affected by crime as victim, perpetrator or justice process.
