Bob's Story
Life
I taught English at Mt. Rainier High School from 1964 to 1992. I was fortunate to have good people who made my teaching career memorable. I am now retired, 73 years young, and celebrated 50 years of marriage with my best friend, Dee. I am quite active and have pedaled my bike to Portland to Vancouver, B.C. and to many places around the Puget Sound area. I love sports, biking, creating rhyme, working out at the gym, and reading. We have three sons, Kevin, Steve, and Ron.
I would love to hear from some of my former students, as I reminisce quite often about my years behind the green door. I have many Kodak moments from my days at the Mount...Expand for more
ain, and I value each memorable experience. Indeed, I was truly fortunate to be a teacher and thank you all for your kindness to the YOUNG redhead. Do you remember some of these: ABOP, EOP, TCOB, HAHHD? How about this saying: Life is a journey, not a destination.
My first three years of teaching, I taught at Tenino High School, Tenino, Washington. I taught English, Girls' PE and coached track. I also coached football and basketball at the junior high school. I had three great years there. If anyone remembers their YOUNG teacher from those days. I would love to hear from you. Irish you good health, much happiness, and inner peace. Go Beavers!
