Bob's Story
I like to think I beat the odds ... I failed algebra and spanish, never made it up, and didn't graduate with my class in 1961. Started back in the Fall of 1961, dropped out and joined the Air Force. Got out of the Air Force in 1965, went to school at Oklahoma State University and got a BS and MS in Aerospace and Systems Engineering. Been working ever since! It has had its moments, but overall it has been a very enjoyable profession.
My favorite teacher at Woodrow was Mrs. Edwina Brown. I took Speech from her, and I can still remember her assumption that you HAD done your work and were ready (whatever it was) ... somehow she "made me" want to get it done.

ber telling her I thought it sounded better the way I played it ... which was NOT the right answer! I remember the musicals well, Brigadoon was my favorite, probably because of my Scottish ancestry. I remember West Side Story and Lil' Abner too. I do not remember Rodney's last name, but i remember he had a very good tenor voice in one of the lead parts in West Side Story.
I remember going to Charcos a lot, I think on Gaston. And Bob's Big Boy, somewhere around there.
I got married while I was in the Air Force ... been married 48 years and have three kids. We've lived in Virginia, Texas, and Oklahoma. Most of the time I worked at a Navy Lab in the tidewater Virginia area.
Its been an interesting life, and its still going on and hope it will keep going on for a while!
