Bob's Story

I've been a computer programmer since 1990, currently at AXA Equitable in Syracuse. I'm a low-key Christian and I feel good about helping people at church. Since I believe in the afterlife, I expect to have an unlimited amount of time to achieve all the dreams and plans I could ever have. So although I'm on earth for a short while, it makes perfectly logical sense to maintain a heavenly perspective about everything. As a kid, I planned what I wanted to do when I grew up, and I've done many of those things: -- Growing up, I enjoyed acting in school plays. These are some of the wildest times and fondest memories of my adult life. -- I had been interested in becoming a teacher, and I later became a Literacy Volunteer for a while, and also helped teach at Teen Challenge and church. -- I always enjoyed puzzles and brain teasers, and now I get paid to solve computer challenges every day. -- Growing up, I considered being a writer or publisher. Later I became a newsletter editor for a computer club, and more recently I edited a diet book written by my brother Bill's wife Donna ("The Net Calorie Diet").
