Bob's Story
My full name is Robert Charles Cashion. Relatives & old friends from school still call me Bobby. Most people call me Bob.
I have a beautiful wife and son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. I married Ellen Cleveland, daughter of Jim & Lillian Cleveland, on June 15, 1974. Ellen's mother, Lillian, taught many of us at Slater-Marietta Elementary. Ellen & I lived in Taylors, SC, until July, 1978, then moved to Marietta where we now live & attend Marietta First Baptist Church. I served as Sunday School Director for 23 years. I'm now teaching the oldest men's Sunday School class at MFBC and loving it. Ellen & I have been fortunate to make several mission trips abroad, 2 to Puerto Rico, 1 to Peru, 1 to Costa Rica, & 1 to Venezuela.
I was born at 7AM, Wednesday, Dec. 28, 1949, on the mill village of Slater, SC, at Wood memorial Clinic, delivered by Dr. T. L. Takacy. My parents are Bill & Evelyn Cashion. My grandparents were Emerson & Lila Cashion, & Charles & Nellie Cobb. I have 2 brothers, Billy & Teddy, & 1 sister, Kathy. My home church is Slater Baptist. My interests are Bible study, art, music, lighthouses, photography, old cameras, collectables, traveling, going to cross country ATV races with my son, which is his hobby, &, of course, architectur...Expand for more

In high school, I threw discus and shotput on the track team, kept football stats on the sideline, co-edited our 1968 Year Book, played guitar in several bands at Friday night dances at Slater Hall after football & basketball games, finished 5th in my graduating class, & received the IPTAY Award from Clemson University for highest academic average for a high school senior athlete.
After graduating from Slater-Marietta High School in 1968, I attended Clemson University where I earned my BA degree in Pre-Architecture in 1972 & my Master of Architecture degree in 1974. I spent the fall semester of 1972 studying in Genoa, Italy, & traveling throughout Europe.
After finishing graduate school at Clemson University, Ellen & I married.
We have one child, Will, a son of whom we are very proud. He is now 26 & married to Crystal Bates Cashion. They have a beautiful baby daughter, Elizabeth, our precious granddaughter.
I'm now an architect with my own firm in Marietta and specializing in designing churches & other Christian ministries facilities, but I also design small commercial projects & large custom homes. My firm is Robert C. Cashion, Architect, Inc. located at 2933 Geer Hwy in Marietta, SC.
