Virginia's Story

School When I was at Brack I was in Ms Coleman's Speach and Drama class. I was in the Sr. play "The Mouse that Roared". I was the 'page' who read the declaration of war. Those were such fun times. The most memorable thing that happened was to see President Kennedy the day before he died. I remember the whole school turning out on St Mary to see him and how beautiful Jackie looked in her pretty pink suit. The funniest thing that happened to me (not at the time though) was when I made my Mom's choclate covered cherries. I misread the recipe and instead of 1/4 TEASPOON of salt I put in 1 TABLESPOON. ned red in the face and had a hard time swallowing. After I tasted them that was longest walk to her classroom and the hardest apology I have ever had to make. To say that I was embarrased is the understatement of the century. She knew that it was a horrible mistake though, thank goodness. Since then, I always taste before I serve anything that I have made!! If I could do it all again, would I? You bet! Only the next time I would taste the chocolate covered cherries before I passed them out to a teacher!! Military As the mother of a soldier who gave his life for his men and his country. I couldn't be prouder of him, his buddies or this wonderful country. Airborne all the way!!
