Bobby's Story
Life
I have made my home here in the Pacific Northwest with my wife Laurie and our dog Dylan. It is absolutely beautiful here in Washington State and the surrounding area. It took me some time to adjust to the rain, but it sure makes you appreciate the Summers here. I have tried and done a lot of "crazy" things in my life since Kendrick High. Skydiving, Scuba diving here and the Caribbean as well, (Sharks aren't that scary up close, really !) Mountaineering as well as rappelling and various other roping skills while serving in the Army,as well as Search and Rescue while in the military and in the civilian sector, including fighting fires in Yellowstone National Park, until a back injury and the added weight that came with the sedentary lifestyle because of it put me out of commission for sometime. I'm presently trying to again certify and reenter the Search and Rescue field as it is a service that is constantly in need of volunteers. I have been in the prestressed/ precast concrete business for the past 20 years working for a company in Tacoma, WA., as my steady day job, I'd guess you could call it that. In my free time, I do quite a bit of Fly fishing all around th...Expand for more
e Northwest as the Trout, Salmon and Steelhead rivers here are endless,as well as hiking/backpacking in the backcountry, and staying up to date on my wilderness survival skills. (Bears aren't that scary either (See my profile pics!) My Wife and I take off in our RV every possible chance we get ( Vacation time allowing) and head for the wilderness or the ocean depending on her mood. I have had a great life and its still going, a great Wife and shes still here after all this time, putting up with my........... restlessness, to clean it up a bit. I owe everything I am and everything I have to her, she has been that one "miracle" in my life and I have been truly blessed as I have chosen to be adventurous instead of dedicating my entire life to a career in which I would've ended up with a lot of regrets for not doing the things I did along with the ol'gold watch to mention the least, which is alright by me, she has taken care of the "success" and for that I will always be indebted and forever grateful to her for the simple reason that I have been allowed a live a life I could have never had on my own, along with someone who continues to see something in me, I myself cannot.
