Bonita's Story
Life
Have stayed in Norfolk. Work for the City in Social Services. My daughter graduated 7th from Norview High in 2000 and is now a sophomore at ODU. I have been married to the same great guy for almost 30 years now. I went to ODU for a while then decided I needed to get out and do something for ME and my family. Am now a semi-empty nester and am enjoying my time for me. Let's get together in 2005 for our 35th reuninon and see how life has treated us. Bonnie SKINOSE
Since I have posted this, here is what has happened. I am still with the City of Norfolk, Dept of Human Services. I am an Intake worker, in my neighborhood, helping my neighbors with crisis if possible. My wonderful Daughter, Erin, graduated in Dec 2004, Magna Cum Lauda from ODU. She is now looking for work in her field, Graphic Design, Web Design, in the area. She hopes to work for about a year then Go for her Masters in Philadelphia. Not bad for a Mouse of a mother. My hubby and I, Rich, celebrated our 32nd anniversary in March and are still going strong.
Please post something about a reunion. I look in the Va Pilot every Sunday. I would love to hear from Mary Beth BAILEY, Ken Murray, Woody Gregory, Pete and Cathy Mani. I have kept in touch with others.
May life treat everyone WONDERFULLY. We only have TODAY so make the most of it. TOMORROW NEVER COMES and YESTERDAY is gone.

School
My Biggest Crush: no one really. I had a boyfriend, and we moved on. The best teacher I had: Mr. Adams - biology. ANd Mr. Johnson - Us History. Mr Adams thought I coul...Expand for more
d be great in biology and Medicine - wish I had listened to him in College. Started out Pre Med but changed to Special Education - which I also loved. Mr Johnson gave me a Passion for History - I am now a amature genealogist and can connect the history with my anectors. Mr Vance was my Senior English and my Homeroom Teacher for 3 years. He was always there and with an encouraging word. I remember the Pep Rallys. And starting up the Pep Club. The Crazy Eights, helping leading cheers in the Stands every Friday night at the football games.
College
College: I remember my friend from high school, Woody Gregory. ALways gave me a ride to and from school. He also helped me with a crush I had for Woody Carrol, a premed student. I never graduated, due to family finances. I got married and had to quit. My daughter is now there, as a junior. Doing great. Maybe one day I can still have connection to ODU. I was there when it was a small University trying to get on top. Now it is going for broke!! Erin, my daughter, loves it and looks forward to graduating in 2005. Wish me luck!! Luck and love to all who knew me and whom I knew. I hope your dreams came true!!!!
I have learned always to expect the UNEXPECTED!! Life is precious and hits us between the EYES!! Go With The FLOW and move on. And it will become a wonderful MEMORY in the FUTURE
I have just been Promoted to Case Manager Specialist, which means I am the Senior Worker in my Unit. I have never gone for Glory but knew that what I did for Norfolk was important. Now I feel that I have made a difference in my neighbors lives for a MOMENT.
