Bonnie's Story
I have two great kids. My daugther is in her 3rd year at UGA - she is studying Mass Communications. My son just graduated Dunwoody High School this year and starts Georgia State in the fall to be a Kindergarten Teacher.
I am currently a resident manager at an apt. community for my "day" job. I am also a freelance writer and host an online radio show. I am working towards a degree in Metaphysics and am in process of starting a couple of online businesses. I am also working on a book.
Politically I vote Libertarian and used to be quite active in local political campaigns. Regarding past employments, I managed two Frederick's of Hollywood stores for almost 10 years and also worked for awhile as a private investigator.
I found the love of my life a couple of years ago - Mr. Michael Helvey - unfortunately he passed away in May of 2008. I have since been trying to rebuild my life. It was in trying to deal with the pain of his loss that I recently started an online radio show called Metaphysical Migrations to give people an open forum to call in and discuss the...Expand for more
ir questions, beliefs, theories, etc on everything from spirituality, religion, the paranormal, etc without fear of ridicule or judgement.
Last Saturday (May 30th) would have been Michael's 39th birthday - his Mom and I went to a native american sweatlodge given by a native american elder friend of mine who was also celebrating his birthday (61st) on the 30th as well. While this was my 1st sweatlodge, it will definitely not be my last I lasted 2 rounds (not bad for a first timer) but next time I will last all 4 rounds :)
I find the most comfort being in nature - I stayed for awhile in Blue Ridge Georgia after Michael died and I really miss it up there. I was in a 3 level log home on 4 acres in the middle of the mountains with just the deer and the bears, etc around. I was 4o minutes from the nearest gas station and almost an hour from the nearest grocery store. Everyone thought I was crazy for staying up there but it I loved it! It is my dream to one day be able to work from home so that I can find a log home in either Blue Ridge or another mountain area.
