Bonnie's Story
Well, currently I work at Army Civilian Personnel on Rock Island Arsenal. I'll have 30 years in on the Rock in 2012, when I'd love to retire to do things I'm more interested in which, at this point, would be just about anything! :) As it stands now, I'd like to work for a florist, or decorate cakes, to let me use my artistic side.
I'm single. That's no big deal to me. I'm always open to meeting or reconnecting with new or old friends. Some of you Central High folks may not remember me, but I went to grade school at Garfield and remember you people so well, that I'd love to catch up with you.
I raised Appaloosa and Quarter horses up until 7 years ago. I loved raising and training my babies...and I've been tempted lately to "get back in"...So if anyone has a big pasture and barn you're not using...let me kn...Expand for more
ow! :) If I ever did get back into the horses, I would like to establish a rescue/re-homing operation for our horsey friends having hard times. Or I'd like to take a shot at raising and training a race horse for that one in a million horse!
I draw, paint and read to relax. There's always a sketch pad near the chair, so I can doodle while watching TV. My 2 cats and horses are the usual subjects. I've expanded to dog portraits and landscapes lately too. I've started watching Thoroughbred racing now too. Hey, a horse is a horse...they still take my breath away. I love dogs too, and think there may be one in my future...maybe this Spring...
I enjoy going out for live music at RIBCO or comedy at Penguin's. And just love sitting with a friend, with a nice cool drink, watching the sun go down over the river...
