Bonnie's Story
After leaving BHS, I attended Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY along with Janet Sullivan and Prissy Reece. Jan and I pledged Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority in our sophmore year. I became good friends with one of our advisors and was asked to be in her wedding party in August 1966. It was at this wedding that I met my husband-to-be...... we were both in the wedding party.....and the rest is history!
We lived in Hawaii while Hal was in the Navy....I attended the Univ. of Hawaii graduate school .... our daughter was born in Hawaii in 1971, just before we returned to civilian life and the mainland.
I returned to teaching (math) in 1981, got my MEd. from East Stroudsburg, and have enjoyed working in NY, Hawaii, and New Jersey...teaching in grades 7 through college. I'm now retired from professional life as an educational administrator (teacher, math supervisor, curriculum direct...Expand for more
or, principal, and asst. superintendent.) Loved every minute! Really LOVE retirement.....but, have returned to Montville Twsp. School District on two occasions in 2008 and 2009 as an Interim Asst. Supt. and Dist. Supv. of Curriculum.
Currently living in Budd Lake, NJ with Hal and our seal point ragdoll named Percy.
We travel north and south to visit our wonderful kids.....my son is a senior designer with DS+F in DC and my daughter is a medical technician in Syracuse, NY.
Travel
Our son was married in July 2008 on Santorini Island in Greece....what a beautiful island! Spent 9 days exploring the area.....great food, fabulous architecture, hot!
Vermont remains the best place to vacation.....every July on Lake Rescue!
Reservations for a cruise in May 2011 to the Caribbean..........first cruise! Any suggestions for making the most of a cruise experience?
