Bonnie's Story
My story has been interesting. I graduated from Canyon High School in Castro Valley, CA in 1967. I had a baby that year and gave her up for adoption . I went to Sonoma State University in Sept. 1967 and graduated in 1970 with a degree in psychology. I traveled to Europe, worked several jobs and married a wonderful man I met while working at Sonoma State in 1972. We moved to Fairfax, VA in 1979 where we both worked for the federal government. He worked in personnel and pay for the Office of Personnel Management and I worked in Indian Affairs for the Department of the Interior and my own business, Native American Technologies, Inc. We both had successful and exciting careers.

t a family I was diagnosed with early ovarian cancer and had to have a hysterectomy. We ended up adopting 3 children. We had a very exciting and busy life in Washington, D.C. until Donald had a second bout with cancer and died in 2007.
I began a new chapter in Cottage Grove, OR where I raised alpacas, learned to process fiber, spin, knit and explore a more creative side of myself. I travel and am involved in a church that seems to fit my world, spiritual views. My children followed me from the east coast, and the daughter I gave up for adoption found me 6 years ago. That has been a real blessing in my life. I recently moved from the country into Eugene so I could become more involved in things. Life is good!
