Workplace
After graduating from Southeastern in 1965 I taught for a year. Then I went to work for Eastern Airlines--started in New Orleans, then moved to Birmingham, Atlanta, Ft Myers and finally Austin--all this over 18 1/2 years. n 1989 and then to Maryland in 1997. It was in 1989 that I became an employee of the Federal Government, working for the Department of the Navy. In fact, one of our graduates, John Dalton, was my "boss" when he was Secretary of the Navy--small world! I work at the Patuxent Naval Air Station and hope to retire back to Shreveport in 2-5 years---never thought I'd say that!
