Bonnie's Story
My name is Bonnie Stang, nee Lemon. I graduated in 1975. I fell in love with my husband and we got married 8/7/'76. His name is Walter. We have 3 great kids-Walter III,Heather, and Bridget. We live in Canton, we've lived in the same home for 24 years. My husband works at Ford's, been there since 2/'77 and is currently a computer analyst supervisor. We have two russian tortoises, a bunch of fish, and our Daughter's pug,who is also her medical service dog, I am a homemaker and our daughter's caregiver, she had a traumatic brain injury 3 years ago. We have a real putting green in our backyard, my husband's special project,it's beautiful.I recently lost my father- he passed away in October 2007, so we've been adjusting to this change. Three of my five sisters still live in Michigan, 1 is in Maryland and 1 is in Arizona. My Mom lives in Walled LAke,Novi and I see her a lot. Well,my daughter, heather met a nice man, named Don. They now live together, and yes, Duke the Pug went with his mom to help watch out for her. Currently, she is doing well, working on cognitive therapy, and is seizure free currently. So I have more time to myself. I still drive her when Don isn...Expand for more
't available as she isn't able to drive yet. My son is currently only working part time,he was fired unfairly from his long time job,and is currently job hunting. Our youngest is still home, she is working, and making noises about getting out on her own. We may be empty nesters soon. So far no grandkids,no son-in-laws or daughter -in-law yet. We have a slew of nieces and nephews and cousins whose kids call us Aunt and Uncle. We have two Goddaughters-one is 22 and just had a baby boy a year ago and the other I helped deliver and she is turning 3 this year. I am into making jewelry now,and hope to eventually make enough to do some shows this year,if my asthma/chronic bronchitis improves. In September,Labor Day to be exact,we decided to get a puppy. We picked out an adorable mini Schnauzer, silver, named Fender Blue. He is now 81/2 months old and we have discovered that he is not a mini, but a regular size Schnauzer. He is a lot of fun,and is actually a very good dog. The only real issues are barking and digging, which we are working on as we are continueing his training. We are waiting on our new convertible mustang to arrive, hopefully Spring is coming soon too.
