Life
I am living in Scottsdale, Arizona with husband, Gary Sneed (1973 Mentor grad). We have a teenage son studying at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University. Our daughter is waiting for the custom home building market to re-emerge so that she can resume her architectural internship. Our oldest son is married, serving in the Army, and they have a eight-year-old son and a three year old daughter - yes, I'm a grandma! and loving it!!! I'm went back to school full time for art (finally) at ASU, and managed to graduate before our youngest does :-). ...Expand for more
I am past president of a non-profit organization called "Arts in Education for Scottsdale Schools" and former Executive Director of the Arizona Alliance for Arts Education, the Arizona arm of the Kennedy Center for Arts Education Network. I am currently serving an elected term as a school board member on the Scottsdale Unified School District Governing Board. We serve about 27,000 kids (pre K-12) in 31 schools across the district. We get "home" to Mentor a couple of times a year to visit friends and family. We miss the people there, but love the weather here - even in summer. What can I say? Life is good!
