Bonnie's Story
Life
I did not "graduate" from high school until I was 25 years old. I married too young and made up for lost time once I was divorced. By 29 I earned a BS in Marketing/Finance from UofO and married a professor of Chemistry. I started a small specialty food company called "From Oregon Inc." in 1987 and sold it in 1997. We then bought some apartments in Phoenix (my daughter is still there - married with two children) - we sold those but continue to own some duplexes in Springfield.
My husband,Tom, loves to travel so we have visited Europe three times since 1995, South America twice and South Africa once. Each year we go...Expand for more
to Phoenix seveal times to see my daughter and to NC to see Tom's daughter.
In 2001 we moved to Bend and I love it!! Sunshine most days and mountain views are beautiful. I maintained a tax preparer license and worked during the season for a local CPA firm for five years and was a SCORE counselor for a while. For the past five years, I am a volunteer with the OSU Extension Service as a Master Gardener and a Master Food Preserver. Tom & I grow a large vegetable garden, barter our vegetables for wild game meat whenever possible and buy our eggs & dairy products from local farmers. Nutrition & fitness are important to me.
