Just retired after 25 years in Seattle, working in engineering for Boeing. Doing a start-up permaculture farm in Northern California mountains. Can't take the country out of a person, after all. Portland. Didn't fall far from the tree. Missing the Pacific Northwest and all that lush green, and the Canadian accents all around. Forgot how crazy California is with regulations and fines, but more sun is great. Lompoc sure looks different with all that mission-style architecture on the big box stores. Must be a lot of Santa Barbara transplants there now.
