Sheri's Story
Life
After High School I attended two years of college in Southern Utah. I moved back to Vegas and attended UNLV for 1 year. In 1975 I married and quit college. Worked in retail for several years. I was divorced in 1978 and stayed that way for a while. My only son was born in 1985 and I married again in 1987. In 2006 we moved to Iowa for 9 months so that my husband could spend time with his family. He lost his battle to cancer in March of 2006. During this time I have learned alot about raising horses and farming along with dealing with teenagers and drug and alcohol rehab. Never really thought I would be the ranch or farming type. I also earned my journeyman ironworkers card for local 433. Never really pictured myself in construction either.
My son is now in college and studying mechanical engineering. He has also become a corrections officer for the state of Nevada while going to school. Boy does time fly.
