Boyd's Story
Worked for many years in construction as a brick and stone mason in Utah after school. I married in Utah in 1982 and moved to Anchorage Alaska in 1983. This may shock most of you but I went back to school at University of Alaska Anchorage in the mid 80s trying to chase a dream of becoming a wildlife biologist. Had to start from scratch at high school level and worked my way up. Worked summers for Fish and Game and school full time trying to finish. Finished BS in early 90s and went to University of British Columbia for a Masters in Wildlife finishing in 1997. Been working for Alaska Fish and Game as a wildlife managment biologis...Expand for more
t in many areas of Alaska. Been in Ketchikan working and living my dream with wife (Diana) and one daughter since 2000. I manage mtn goats, black and brown bears, deer, elk, moose, wolves and all the furbearers in about 10K square miles in southeast Alaska. Enjoy teaching all kinds of biology to kids and educating the public about wildlife issues when possible. Also teach lots of gun safety, bear safety and organized a local youth shotgun league that is very fulfilling. Hope all is well with all of you and yours. I wonder about what you guys and gals are doing and how life is treating you. Drop me a note sometime.
Cheers, Boyd
