Brandon's Story
After graduating from LHS, I moved into Austin and spent the next few years playing in bands and producing music. In 1997, I started a band called Palaxy Tracks and released eight albums over the course of 20 years. I’ve toured the United States several times during this period, both with my own band and a few others I’ve had the distinct pleasure of playing with. As a result, I’ve been to all 48 of the continental United States, many multiple times, and I’ve amassed a bevy of incredible stories and memories that will keep me company forever.
Visiting all of these places helped illuminate the fact that I never really felt at home in Texas. In 2001 I moved to Chicago, Illinois, where I lived for 5 years. After moving back to Austin in 2006 I settled down for a few years during which time I met my now husband Michael. In 2010 wanderlust struck again and together we left Austin, starting what would become a 10-year adventure that landed us in Seattle, Washington for one year, Falmouth, Maine for one yer, and New York, New York for eight.

tates, we moved from [the polar opposite of] New York City to Georgetown, Texas where we now reside. Even after all of these years of exploration and time away, Texas still doesn’t feel anything like home. We’re currently looking to buy a small property (hopefully 3–5 acres or so) in either upstate New York (Hudson Valley), coastal Maine, or somewhere else in New England, where we plan to adopt all manner of “unwanted” animals (elderly, special needs, etc.) and give them a permanent home to live out the rest of their lives.
I’m currently working on an experimental music project where I will be writing “soundtrack” music for strangers I encounter and leaving them anonymously as gifts. Each song will include clues (either in the accompanying artwork, as text, and/or within the songs themselves) that will eventually connect these strangers to each other in some way. Once I have enough music to compile a cohesive collection of songs, I’ll release it publicly and anonymously with more clues that should help complete the picture and (with any luck) connect these strangers from all over the world.
