Life Since graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1973, I have worked primarily in radio broadcasting. Most of those years I have been employed by my current employer GHB Broadcasting. My radio career began in 1973 at WHVN which is an AM station with a Christian format. From 1978-1983 I left radio to work as a manager for Hardee's. I had been a part-time employee with Hardee's in Charlotte and Chapel Hill since 1969. In 1983 I returned to WHVN and continue to work there. Since 1983 I have also worked for The Satellite Radio Network(1983-1989), WAVO 1150AM in Rock Hill,SC (1995-1998) and WAME 550AM in Statesville,NC (1998-1999). In 1999 I became Operations Manager for WNMX-FM 106.1(now WOLS) which is a sister station to WHVN, WAVO and WAME. Since 2008 I have been the Operations Manager for WAVO (1150 AM) and WTIX (1410AM). I married Sandy Sims at Bethany United Methodist Church in Albemarle,NC on June 17,1978. We have lived at 829 Farmcrest Drive in Charlotte since July 28,1978.
