Brenda's Story
Life
I have been together with my husband, David, since 1986. We have two daughters, Robyn, age 13, and Amanda, age 10. We live in Norman, OK.
I am a Girl Scout leader and enjoy playing guitar and attending folk music concerts and festivals.
College
I attended the University of Oklahoma and got a degree in journalism in 1987. I worked on the college newspaper for four years and was editor in managing editor in 1986 and editor in 1987.
Workplace

er college, I worked as a reporter for United Press International then worked for 10 years at the University of Oklahoma public affairs office as a writer and editor. Become the editor of OU People, the alumni publication, after that for several years.
Since 2002, I have served as the director of communications and development for the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence, as statewide nonprofit that promotes excellence in public schools. I love my job!
