Brenda's Story

Graduated Class of 74'. Married 1976, 1 son, moved to Pompanpo Beach. Then in 1980 moved to Humble, TX. Had our 2nd son. Moved to Cleveland, TX. Divorced in 1984, moved to Houston, TX, still here. End of 84 found the love of my life, re-married. Still happily married. Steven, oldest son made me grandmother of 2 beautiful granddaughters, Alixandra Abigail (2003) and Hannah Elizibeth(2005), living in Oklahoma with their Mother now. Steven remarried and he and Susan have 2 children, a son Nathan (2010) and a daughter Guin (2014). They now live in Delware. Robert, is in US Navy, 15 yrs now, stationed in Hawaii (Deploymentevery 4 years) again, married, no children. They go between Hawaii and Pensacola, FL. He finished college this year and made Cheif Petty Officer, I am very proud of him and his accomplishments!! He will remain in the Navy for 5 more years and retire at the age of 36. Must be NICE!! Lost my Father in Jan. Aug. 1999 to Dementia, and my Mother in 2005. Loosing mom was very hard, she already had Alzeheimers and Diabetes, had been living in an Assisted Living Faciliaty in Dade City, FL for 5 yrs. She suddenly developed a brain aneurysum, was lifelighted to Tampa Hospital, had surgery and slipped into a coma. I took FMLA (family leave from work) and stayed by her bedside in Neurology ICU for 21 days. On Aug. 21st she woke up for 2 1/2 hrs, we thought she was coming out of it, but instead she was saying good-bye. On Aug. 27th we followed her wishes and let her go. She passed away on Aug. 29th as I sat on her bed, holding her hand talking to her. She went painlessly & peacefully....Expand for more
Beautiful memories of both mom and dad. Lost my job with The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America in 7/2009 after 11 years of service. I had to have shoulder surgery, then neck surgery. Shoulder surgery turned out to be more complicated than expected and I was out for 2 months instead of 2 weeks. 2 weeks after I returned to work they called me in and told me "we have to let you go". Texas is a "right to work state". They can fire you or let you go for any reason , don't need a reason, if they don't want you there they can "let you go". I was able to draw unemployment for the extended period, but I wanted a job. But not very many companies are hiring anyone over 50, and they sure don't want to pay you the salary you were making at your previous job. Since 2010 I have been a Private Process Server. Serving Civil papers in Houston and the surrounding areas. "Save Serve Process Service". If YOU HAVE CHILDREN READ BELOW Life gets harder when you get older.......make sure you prepare your living will, (don't make your kids have to make the decisions for you, or allow them to choose for you) prepare your will, take care of your funeral arrangements, make sure all of your affairs are in order.....don't delay...........and don't think you have enough medical insurance to cover you...no matter what might happen.........because yor kids will face the burden of trying to figure out how to pay the bills!!!!! We went through this with my mother and then again with my mother-in-law. Don't learn the hard way. Contact me: captnswife sbcglobal net brendad saveserveprocess.com Go Cowboys!!!!!!!!!!!
